FROG P-39 has been found

Unread postby CSMO » Wed Feb 19, 2014 12:14 am

This P-39 is from one of the lost FROG molds. I bought it as a bag kit from a seller in the Ukraine. The instructions do not specify the model, but I built it as a P-39D, after the old Revell 1/48 kit that I built when I was 7 or 8. It is OOB except for wing guns, and lead to keep it from parking on its tail. Xtracolor paint and decals from the scrap-box.

Here is the sprue shot. The FROG kit # is on the clear parts runner. It is F415.

I'm pretty sure that one of my old Frog catalogues has a blueprint of this on the cover even though the model is not in it. You do see them time to time for sale, looks a good kit, especially considering the year it was made. :D

A nice clean example. Thanks for the photo's. Quite a few moulds are appearing here in Ukraine from time to time. Watch this space :D
